Behold, you are new.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Wherever this day takes you. Wherever you find yourself this weekend. Take the weight and reality of this verse with you! Don’t leave your home without it. Satan’s tactics and strategies are mostly to convince the believer of who he is not. He goes to great lengths in each of our lives to convince us that this verse in simply not truth. “Believer, you do not belong to Christ, you are still an old piece of work. The old has remained; behold, no new has come.” These are common words the accuser of the brethren throws at you and I. Be on your feet! Be watchful. All the devil’s accusations are unfounded and entirely untrue.

You do belong to Christ. You are a new creation. We are not old, we are not discarded. New has come!

We are not timid. We are not apathetic. We are not angry. We are not prideful. We are not arrogant. We are not boring. We are not unworthy but of ultimate worth in God’s eyes. We are not less than but co-heirs with Christ. It does not get any better than actually recognizing and understanding that you are a new creation. The old will attempt to end your life over and over and over. Don’t buy in! Don’t give the old liar the time of day. Jesus didn’t. He doesn’t. Nor will He. “Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

There is another resounding “BEHOLD” found in Revelation 21:5, “Behold, I am making all things new.” You have already been made new. Now, Christian, your job and mine is to fulfill the words of Christ in making all things new. “Christ in us, the hope of glory.” Live new and life begins to grow and flow all around you. You are new! You are new! You are new! Behold, the new has come! New man, new men! New woman, new women! A new creation. Do not give up nor shrink back.

Prayer: Jesus, since You have told me that I am in You, that I am a new creation, then I will, by faith, receive Your words as trusted and true. I confess today that the old has passed away and the new has come upon me. Thank you for making me new. Thank you for making all things new. Thank you for holding me. For helping me. Be my everything!

New Zeal: Our Report

Jesus is the greatest love ever known. Get to know him and great love is what you become.
New Zealand: Our prayer guide.

We’re only hours away from leaving on our much-anticipated return to New Zealand. We’ve already felt a great deal of opposition – it’s almost as if someone doesn’t want us going! Wonder who that could be? “Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

This prayer guide has been encouraging to our team in helping us prepare for the trip. Feel free to join us in praying or apply this guide to your own life/ministry.

Specific prayers for our trip:

1. Pray for a powerful move of God’s Spirit to bring deep conviction, repentance, and a mighty release of God’s power. (Acts 1:8, 2 Cor. 7:10)

2. Pray for great anointing and spiritual power upon each member of our group and that fear would have no hold over us. (Eph. 5:18, 2 Tim. 1;7)

3. Pray for deep love among us. (John 13: 34-35)

4. Pray that strife and disunity be subdued. (John 18:11, 1 Cor. 1:10)

5. Pray that Satan be completely bound from interfering with any of us and any of our activities. (Matt. 12:19)

6. Pray for a strong wall of protection to surround us and all those who we minister with. (Job 1:10)

7. Pray that we clearly hear God’s direction along the way. (Eph. 5:17)

8. Pray that we be filled with a burning love and zeal for Jesus Christ. (1 Cor. 13, Rev. 2:4)

9. Pray for an explosion of laborers and witnesses for Christ – to remain active long after we’ve left. (Matthew 9:37)

10. Pray for fruit that will endure the test of time in our lives and in the lives of everyone we touch. (John 15)

Jesus has wonderful plans over New Zealand – we’re honored to play a small part in them!
